Support for All is an independent Community Interest Company supporting Birmingham's voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.
We are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people all over Birmingham. Our main goal is to empower people from all walks of life, especially the most vulnerable, as well as our staff.
By supporting community interest sectors, we enable and assist organizations and individuals working towards social change. We help them identify and build on existing strengths and enhance them through development, structure, and compliance.
Our aim is to support our communities, ensuring that people from all parts of the city feel included, engaged, and have access to appropriate support from passionate and expert individuals.
We firmly believe that our local communities are at the heart of this endeavor. Therefore, most of our work is conducted in partnership with voluntary, community, and private enterprises, such as charities, councils, and private organizations working in social sectors. Through these partnerships, we aim to develop effective and robust responses to the challenges faced in communities. Engaging citizens in these communities to build a stronger and happier future is our top priority.
Our passionate and dedicated staff team leads in three key areas:
Providing infrastructure, training, research, consultancy, volunteering, and practical and strategic support to our partners.
Developing, leading, and supporting effective people-centered collaborative approaches across the public and private sectors.
Offering quality advocacy and representation to ensure that the unique and diverse contribution of the voluntary and community sector is recognized, valued, and celebrated.
All our work is underpinned by a commitment to our organizational values, which are:
Supporting necessary change through passion, innovation, and social action.
Connecting individuals and organizations to work together to improve people's lives.
Empowering everyone to get involved in creating a fair and supportive Birmingham.
Building trust through transparently working in the interests of our sector and citizens.
We provide support across three main areas, working in partnership with trusted organizations to deliver effective community services.
Exempt housing support in government assistance involves granting special permissions or allowances to housing aid programmes, streamlining the process for individuals or families on benefits to access help, often by waiving certain rules.
Collaborating with Birmingham councillors on projects addressing complex issues like substance abuse, anti-social behavior, and environmental challenges.
S4ACIC is know from our work supporting the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector that Birmingham has a thriving community of amazing volunteers who give up their time to support others. From formal volunteering to informal ‘social action’ and mutual aid groups, volunteers play a very important role within a diverse range of settings. They support some of our most vulnerable citizens and make a huge contribution to our communities.
